Red Hook, New York – On August 16, 2017, the New York State Police in Rhinebeck arrested 22-year-old Joseph R. Pasqualina of Red Hook, NY, for Criminal Contempt in the 1st Degree, a Class E Felony, and Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

On August 16, 2017, Troopers were dispatched to a domestic dispute on West Kerley Corners Road.  The investigation indicated that Pasqualina violated a court order of protection by engaging in a physical altercation with the protected party. When the victim attempted to call 911 for police assistance, Pasqualina broke the phone preventing a call for help.  Pasqualina fled prior to police arriving on scene.

Several hours later, the defendant turned himself over to the State Police.  He was arraigned in the Village of Red Hook Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail without bail. Pasqualina is due to reappear in the Town of Red Hook Court on August 21, 2017 at 1:00 pm.
