Dutchess County’s 5th Annual Special Needs Picnic

Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro welcomed more than 250 residents to Freedom Park in the Town of LaGrange yesterday for the County’s fifth annual Special Needs Picnic, another great #ThinkDIFFERENTLY event.

tossAn annual favorite for local children and their families, the picnic offers a day of free food and entertainment, all in an inclusive and welcoming environment. This year’s picnic featured a carnival theme, complete with games of skill, live animals and new entertainment options, including storytellers, a clown and magician. In addition to lunch favorites, gluten-free options were added to this year’s menu, providing a nutritious and delicious meal for everyone. We thank our many sponsors — Helping Other People Everywhere (HOPE), Simply Gourmet, Rhinebeck Animal Hospital, HRHCare Community Health, Dutchess Tekcon Industries, Herb Redl Properties, Guardian Self Storage, Greystone Programs, New Life Mobility, New Horizons Resources, and Williams Lumber & Hardware Centers  as well as those who contributed their time and talents, and the many volunteers who worked together to make yesterday’s picnic a resounding success.
