Brewster man charged with Criminal Sex Act

Southeast, New York – On August 15, 2017, New York State Police from the Brewster barracks arrested Gildardo Perez, age 22, of Brewster, New York, for Criminal Sex Act in the 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony.

On August 11, 2017, Troopers were dispatched by Putnam County 911 to investigate a reported sexual offense that occurred in the Town of Southeast.  An investigation revealed that Perez subjected a female victim under the age of 15 to sexual contact.  Perez became acquainted with the victim over Facebook.

Perez was arraigned in the Town of Southeast Court before Judge Vercollone and remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.

The State Police were assisted by the Putnam County Child Advocacy Center.
