Lagrangeville – Ruth J. Wisseman, age 91, of Unionvale, New York died Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Lutheran Care Center of Poughkeepsie, NY. Ruth was born October 7, 1925 in Poughkeepsie, NY. She is the daughter of the late Chester and the late Ruth (Warren) Wright. She married Donald E. Wisseman on May 18, 1947 at Trinity United Methodist Church Poughkeepsie. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald E. Wisseman on November 1, 2010.
Ruth was a graduate of Millbrook Memorial School and Ruth was also was a graduate of the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing on May 6, 1946.
She was employed by Lovely Hills Nursing Home Pawling New York as a Registered Nurse.
Loved to play BINGO, and her children and grandchildren were her life.
She is survived by her daughter Mary and John Duval of Lagrangeville, NY., her son Donald Wisseman Jr of Lagrangeville, NY; her sister Dorothy Stockholme of Lagrangeville, NY. Ruth is also survived by her four grandchildren, Michael Wisseman of Lagrangeville, NY., Breann Wisseman of FL., Carrie Wisseman of FL., Ryan Duval of Poughkeepsie, NY., and several great grandchildren.
Predeceased by her Son, Barry Wisseman, and 3 brothers one sister.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.
