PRESS RELEASE

Kinderhook, New York – On August 9, 2017, New York State Police from the Kinderhook barracks arrested 26-year-old Andrew M. Powell, of Kinderhook, New York, for Menacing in the 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree, both Class A Misdemeanor.

Troopers responded to a Kinderhook residence for a reported dispute.  The investigation indicated that following a physical altercation, Powell threatened the victim with a ratchet.

Powell was arraigned in the Village of Kinderhook Court by the Honorable Judge Delehunt and released on his own recognizance.  The defendant is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Kinderhook Court on August 15, 2017 at 7:30 p.m.
