State Police arrest North Salem man following domestic incident

North Salem, New York – On August 6, 2017, New York State Police from the Somers barracks arrested 58-year-old Miguel A. Morales, of North Salem, New York, for Assault in the 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony.

At approximately 5:27 p.m., Troopers were dispatched to a domestic incident that occurred on Sugar Hill Road in North Salem. An investigation revealed that Morales had stabbed the 62-year-old female victim several times with a kitchen knife following a verbal argument.  The victim was transported to Westchester Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Morales was arraigned in the Town of North Salem Court before the Honorable Town Judge Aronian.  The defendant was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $15,000 bond.  Morales is due to appear in the Town of North Salem Court on Monday, August 7th at 6:30 p.m.
