Obituary, John D. “Jack” White, Jr.

 

John D. “Jack” White, Jr. passed away Monday, July 31, 2017 at the Lutheran Care Center in Poughkeepsie, NY.  Jack was 88.

A life-time resident of Poughquag and Pawling, he was born in Beekman, NY on April 17, 1929 to John D. White, Sr. and Hazel E. Woodin.

Jack served in the US Army from 1946-49, where he was stationed in Japan.

He was a self-employed salesman who sold a variety of different things.  He loved archery and photography, and wrote and published the Beekman Bulletin.

He is survived by his son, John D. White III, and grandsons, Ryan David White and Kevin Andrew White, all of Wappingers Falls, NY.

He is predeceased by his son, Bruce White, who passed away August 23, 1983.

A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 10 AM in Beekman Cemetery, Poughquag, NY.
