The Pawling Resource Center Begins its Annual School Supply Drive

Though many in the community are deep into summertime activities, the Pawling Resource Center is responding to those children in need who will be entering grades one through six.in September.  Between now and August 5th, the Resource Center will be collecting required school supplies for these young students. Following the request guidelines for Pawling schools, Terry Ariano, Executive Director, has indicated that the Resource Center is now looking for the items listed below.
·    Back packs (no wheels please)
·    Binders: 1.5”; 2”; plain front view (No zippers or trapper keepers)
·    Book socks, jumbo size
·    Crayons & Colored pencils
·    Dividers, Five-tab
·    Erasers, Pink Bevel
·    Flash cards: Addition set (to 20)
·    Subtraction set (to 20)
·    Folders: Pocket folders and heavy duty folders
·    Glue Sticks
·    Index cards, 3×5 lined
  • Notebooks : Marble composition and spiral notebooks
  • Page protectors, package of heavy duty clear
  • Paper, loose leaf
  • Pens, red , blue, black (erasable if possible)
  • Pencils, #2 Ticonderoga
  • Pencil Box, Standard Plastic  and Pencil pouch, Zippered 3 hole
  • Pencil sharpener; Hand held that catches the shavings
  • Stapler
  • Tissues
Though the list may be daunting, Ms. Ariano is hoping that community members will consider donating a few items for this special cause.. Donated supplies may be delivered to the Pawling Resource Center by Saturday, August 5.  The Center is located at 126 East Main Street in the village of Pawling.  .
