Susan E. McGinnis (born 12/21/50 in Baldwin, NY) of Millbrook, passed away on July 19th after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Sue retired from the Arlington school district after a career as a life-long special education teacher. Following her retirement, she continued to serve children as a substitute teacher in Millbrook. Grandma Sue will always be remembered for her sewing and knitting as well as her devotion to her grandchildren Kayleigh McGinnis, and Harleigh and Arden Pickles.
Sue is predeceased by her brother Allen, and is survived by her brothers George and Ken, her sister, Joyce, her children Megan and Ryan, her three granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service and luncheon will be held on Saturday, July 29th at 11 am at Lyall Memorial Federated Church in Millbrook. Burial will take place at a later date in the family plot in Port Leyden, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lyall Church or to the Millbrook library.
