The Pawling Little League 8-10 year old minors softball team is moving on to states after winning the New York State Little League Section 2 South championship on Sunday at Saugerties. They are the first Pawling Little League team to ever win a Sectional Title and are advancing to the New York State Championship round to be held in Dunkirk, NY this week. The Pawling girls became only the second Pawling LL girls softball team to win a District 17 title after defeating the Town of Poughkeepsie last week to advance to Sectional play. They will begin play in the State double elimination tournament of six teams on Wednesday. The girls on the team are Lyndsey Cole, Francesca Covell, Aubrey Dall, McKenzie Lynch, Mikaela Mammola, Taylor Oakley, Bailey O’leary, Josie O’leary, Madelyn Radicchi, Kayleigh Ragone, Molly Strehle, Nicole Vinciguerra and Hailey Zwingman. The team is coached by Manager Mike Cole, Coaches Joe Bortle and Mike Zwingman with help from assistants Bob Wall and Katie Meyer.
