Two Millerton men  have been arrested and charged with robbery following a shooting

 

Poughkeepsie – Two men from Millerton, Akbar McClennon, 31, and Jarrin Mayes, 28,  have been arrested and charged with robbery following a shooting at the Poughkeepsie Inn on Route 9 Tuesday afternoon.

McClennon,  and  Mayes,  were charged with five counts of first-degree robbery and were arraigned before Town Justice Stephan Krakower and remanded to Dutchess County Jail on $250,000/$500,000 bail, to reappear on Thursday, July 13 before Town Justice Paul Sullivan.

Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department received a call at around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday saying a person was shot in a hotel room at 2625 South Road Poughkeepsie.

The shooting victim was transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
