Cuddebackville man charged with burglary and mail theft

The New York State Police at SP Greenville announce the arrest of Franklin E. Tiritilli, age 29 from Cuddebackville, for Burglary in the Second Degree (Class C Felony), Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree , Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, and Possession of Burglar Tools (all Class A Misdemeanors).

Tiritilli was in the process of burglarizing a residence on Peenpack Trail in the Town of Deerpark at the time of his arrest.  A subsequent search of his vehicle revealed nearly one hundred pieces of U.S. Mail that had been stolen from residences in New York and Pennsylvania.  The U.S. Postal Inspection Service, Town of Deerpark Police Department, and the Eastern Pike Regional Police Department, PA are assisting in the continuing investigation.  Franklin Tiritilli was arraigned in the Town of Greenville Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail pending a future court appearance.
