Obituary, Anthony Joseph Boula

 

Anthony Joseph Boula, 53, a life-time resident of Pawling and Stormville, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 in Stormville.

Born in the Bronx on January 20, 1964, he was one of four children born to William C. and Frances (LaGrotta) Boula, who moved to Pawling in 1967.

Anthony attended Pawling schools and graduated in 1982. Anthony worked with his family, and was an integral part of his family’s fence building business, Pawling Fence Company.

He was a loving son, father, husband, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, Godfather, and friend to his family and extended family.  He loved football, especially the Giants, and baseball, especially the Mets; he loved boating, cooking for his family, his friends, and many outdoor activities.  He was a member of the Brewster Elks for many years, and sponsored a Pawling softball team.

He is survived by his three children, Travis, Aubrey, and Trey Boula of Stormville; his parents, William and Frances Boula of Pawling; his wife, Nancy Lindstrom Boula of Pawling; two brothers, William Boula, Jr. and his wife, Celesterose, of Poughquag and Frank Boula and his significant other, Kristin Frisina, of Red Hook; his sister Debra Ciccone and her husband, Rocco, of Brewster: his loving sisters-in-law, Dr. Jennifer E. Lindstrom and Anna M. Lindstrom,  “Michele Boula of Myrtle Beach, SC.”  and mother-in-law, Elizabeth Burke Lindstrom of Pawling; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Frank & Eleanor LaGrotta, and by “brother-in-law” Frank E. Lindstrom and “sister-in-law” Christina Lindstrom.

Friends may call at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, Sunday, July 2nd 4-7 PM, with a funeral service being conducted at 6:30 PM.  Burial will be Monday, July 3rd at 11 AM at Quaker Hill Cemetery, Pawling, NY.
