(Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) On June 23, 2017, the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) in conjunction with the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department’s Neighborhood Recovery Unit (NRU), and assisted by Members of the SP Wappingers barracks and NYSP K-9, conducted a narcotics investigation that lead to a vehicle and traffic stop in the area of Route 9 in the Village of Wappingers Falls, N.Y.

An investigation resulted in the arrest of Jashaun T. Trotman, age 18, of 8 Edgar Street, Poughkeepsie, NY, and Elijah Paulin, age 19, of 311 Hudson Avenue, Beacon, NY, and the seizure of approximately 46 grams of heroin.

Both subjects were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rdDegree (a Class B Felony). Both subjects were arraigned  before the Village of Wappingers Falls Court Judge Raymond Chase and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.
