Southeast, New York – On June 19, 2017 at approximately 12:35 p.m., New York State Police from the Somers barracks responded to Interstate 684 in the Town of Southeast for a report of a three-car collision.

An investigation indicates that James Desposito, age 64, of Bethel, Connecticut, was traveling south on I 684.  Melissa Romagnoli, age 44, of Fishkill, New York, and Patrick N. Dell, age 52, of Glastonbury, Connecticut, were traveling north on I 684.  Desposito’s vehicle reportedly exited the roadway due to unsafe speed for the weather conditions.  His vehicle entered the median and struck Dell’s northbound vehicle.  Romagnoli, unable to take evasive action, subsequently struck Desposito’s vehicle.

Desposito and Romagnoli were transported to Danbury Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
