County Clerk’s Office Now Serves as Collection Point for Donations of Usable Eyeglasses

Poughkeepsie, New York:          Dutchess County Clerk Brad Kendall has announced that usable eyeglasses can be donated at any one of its Division of Motor Vehicle (DMV) offices. Eyeglasses collected will be forwarded to the Lions Club International through their Recycle for Sight program.

Refractive errors can be easily diagnosed, measured and corrected with eyeglasses, contact lenses or refractive surgery. Yet, millions of people lack access to these basic services.
