New York State Police arrest Kingston man for Rape 3rd Degree

PRESS RELEASE
The New York State Police at Kingston arrested Christopher A Johnson, 25 yeas old of Kingston, NY for 3 counts of Rape in the 3rd Degree and 1 count of Computer Tampering in the 4th Degree.

An investigation revealed that Johnson had been engaging in sexual conduct with an underage female. It is also alleged that he tampered with the victim’s smart phone.

Johnson had been released to NYS Parole on June 8, 2017 and had registered no residence. NYS Parole and the City of Kingston Police Department assisted with the aprehension of Johnson.

Johnson was arraigned on the above charges before Town of Ulster Court Justice Weiss and scheduled to return to the court on Tuesday June 20 at 2:00pm. He was remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail on a Violation of Parole warrant.
