Obituary, Yolande Chasse

 

Yolande Chasse, 81, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie.

A resident of Carmel, NY since 1964, she was born in Quebec City, Canada on August 22, 1935 to Mendoza and Anna Marie Rousseau.

Yolande enjoyed spending time with her family, making them “f” cheesecake and Chinese noodles.  She loved playing cards and doing arts & crafts; she was a life-long follower of Q.V.C., and an avid NY Rangers and Mets fan.

She is survived by her son Mario Chasse and his wife, Ella, of Hopewell Junction; two daughters, Linda Ritter and her husband, Bob, of Wappingers Falls and Diane Ferris and her husband, Kevin, of Poughkeepsie; her brother Yvan Rousseau and his wife Jackie and sister Rolande Arsenault, all of Canada; her former husband, Robert Chasse of Pawling; six grandchildren Stephanie, Nicole, Kevin, Robert, Rebecca, and Dana; two great-grandchildren, Charlie Rose and Daniella Rae; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Family and friends may call at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling Friday, June 9th 3-6 PM; a service will be conducted at the funeral home at 5 PM.  Burial will be Saturday, leaving the funeral home at 2 PM to St. John’s Cemetery, Pawling.
