Obituary, Patrick J. “Pete” Feery

 

Patrick J. “Pete” Feery, 87, a resident of Pawling since 1968 and formerly of Queens, passed away at home on Sunday, June 4, 2017 surrounded by his family.

Born in Manhattan on October 29, 1929, he was the son of the late Patrick and Sarah (Harte) Feery.  He served in the US Army during the Korean War, and on January 20, 1962 he married Frances Ventrice at St. Francis of Assissi in the Bronx, NY.  Pete received his Bachelor’s Degree from Pace University, and was a systems analyst at Pepsico before retiring.  He was a member of St. John’s Church in Pawling, Pawling Knights of Columbus, and a past member of the Pawling Lions Club.

Pete is survived by his devoted wife Frances at home, loving children, Angela Nash, and her husband, Steven, of Pawling; Patricia Feery of White Plains; Catherine Brunow of Pawling; Frances Davis of Dover Plains; Joseph Feery of Pawling; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Feery of Vero Beach; grandchildren, Jonathan, Andrew, Kevin, and Cara Nash, Zachary, Nicholas, and Meaghan Brunow, Harper Feery, Kayla Davis, and Rileigh Feery; brothers, William and his wife, Barbara, of Cedarhurst, NY and Martin and his wife, Maria, of Southport, NC, and nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by his son Patrick who passed away on May 14, 2000 and two brothers, John and Michael Feery.

Friends may call at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main St, Pawling on Tuesday, June 6th from 2-9pm. The Pawling Council Knights of Columbus will conduct a service at 7pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John’s Church, 39 East Main St, Pawling on Wednesday, June 7th at 10am.  Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, East Street, Pawling.
