Obituary, Joseph A. Crocco

 

Joseph A. Crocco of Sherman, CT, passed away in Danbury, CT, on Friday June 2, 2017 at the age of 92.

He was born August 27, 1924 in Hamden, CT, son of the late Rocco and Immacolata (Melillo) Crocco. He served in the United States Army during WWII. Mr. Crocco has lived in Sherman since 1979 and was a carpenter. Mr. Crocco was a license Pilot who loved to fly and he was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association; he also rode motor cycles and was a member of the Gold Wing Riders, and he loved boating and water skiing.

He is survived by his wife of thirty seven years Shirley (Daskam) Crocco, his step children Roy Stowe and wife Kathy of Beacon Falls, CT and Shirley Ann Stowe of Casa Granda, AZ, step grandchildren; Tina Demers, Wayne Boudreau and Rachael Stowe. He was predeceased by his brothers Pasquale and Albert Crocco.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday June 8, 2017, 10:00am at Holy Trinity Church in Sherman, CT. Interment will follow in Coburn Cemetery in Sherman.
