THE COOKING SCHOOL AT THE SILO TO HOST

TWO ‘CHOPPED’ CHALLENGE CULINARY CAMPS

July 10-14 & July 24-28, For kids ages 10-15

JUNE 1, 2017, NEW MILFORD, CT –  The Silo at Hunt Hill Farm is excited to announce two 5-day ‘Chopped Challenge’ Culinary Camps, for kids ages 10-15.  They will be held July 10-14 and July 24-28, 9:00AM – 12:30PM. Students may sign up for one or both challenges.  The cost is $240 per student, per week.

Each day the students will learn a new skill and then they will be put into teams.  Every team will be given a mystery basket of ingredients, which they must use to create a dish.  They will craft two or three dishes daily that will be judged by the Silo staff.  Winners will receive distinction, however no one will actually be chopped, like on the well known Food Network program.

“Young chefs of all experience are encouraged to register,” said Instructor Cheryl Ann Gordon.  “They’ll have fun helping each other out, and they will learn about team building while they have fun in the kitchen. How cool is that?”

Registration is limited to 20 students per class.  Sign up by visiting TheSiloCT.org or by calling 860-355-0300.
