**UPDATE** Accidental drowning investigation in Kinderhook

**UPDATE**
On Sunday, May 21, 2017, the 1-year-old child succumbed to her injuries following the accident drowning that occurred on May 19, 2017.
The victim’s name is being withheld at this time pending notification to her next of kin.
On May 19, 2017 at approximately 5:30 pm Columbia County 911 dispatched Niverville Fire Department, Valatie Rescue Squad and Kinderhook Troopers to a residence in the hamlet of Niverville, Town of Kinderook for a report of a 1-year-old found unresponsive in a swimming pool.
The child was transported to Albany Medical Center.
New York State Police Bureua of Criminal Investigation from the Livingston Barracks are currently conducting an investigation into the matter.
No further information is available on the child’s condition at this time.
