The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Friday to Dutchess residents regarding 48-year-old Victor Marrero, who has moved from the Bronx to Dog Tail Corners Road in Wingdale

 

 

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Friday to Dutchess residents regarding 48-year-old Victor Marrero, who has moved from the Bronx to Dog Tail Corners Road in Wingdale.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Marrero as a level two threat, which means he has been determined to have a “moderate risk of a repeat offense.” He has also been classified  as a sexually violent offender.

Marrero had deviate sexual  intercourse and sexual contact with the 9-year-old victim, who was known to him in June 2005.

He was arrested by the New York City Police Department Sex Offender Unit and sentenced to three years in state prison in December 2006. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.
