Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Charges for Newburgh Man

PRESS RELEASE

On May 17, 2017, the New York State Police at Highland arrested Robert D. Burnett, age 32, of Newburgh, NY for the following charges:

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, Class B Felony

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, Class C Felony

Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree, an A Misdemeanor

Unlawful Possession of Marihuana

Charges were the result of a traffic stop on State Route 9w in the Town of Lloyd where Burnett was found to possess a quantity of Cocaine and Oxycontin pills.

Burnett was arraigned before Town of Lloyd Justice Terry Ella and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of 10k Cash 20k Bond bail.
