Pawling Rotary Honors Ross and Fayne Daniels

By Susan Stone

This year, at the 6th annual golf outing scheduled for June 1st at the Quaker Hill Country Club, the Pawling Rotary Club will honor Pawling Rotarians of Distinction, Ross and Fayne Daniels.   Ross and Fayne are the embodiment of the Rotary motto, “Service Above Self,” and have worked tirelessly in support of Pawling Rotary and the Pawling community.

The day begins at noon when the event gets underway with lunch and a day on the links, culminating with a celebratory dinner at 6:00 p.m.  Once again, Ingersoll Auto of Pawling, one of several local sponsors for this event, are generously donating a  2017 Cadillac ATS AWD Luxury Sedan, worth $43,000 as a hole in one prize on one of  the country clubs more challenging holes.

Proceeds from this event will be used to fund the many programs that support educational initiatives for Pawling’s youngsters, including funding the Roger Smith/Pawling Rotary College Scholarship Fund,  providing five scholarships to the Rotary Youth Leadership Conference, providing support to The Scout Cabin, and funding Rotary International’s Student Exchange Program, which will bring an international student to Pawling, enhancing the experience of cultural exchange and diversity community-wide
