Obituary, Wiliam Lasch

 

 

Our loved one Bill recently passed away. He graduated from Brewster High School, class of 1967. In High School, he enjoyed playing football, wrestling and track. When his country called after graduation, he joined the U.S. Marine Corp. During his two tours in Vietnam, he was awarded 3 purple hearts, a silver star, as well as many other awards for bravery. Upon returning home, he worked for NYSEG and Castle Point V.A for many years.

He is survived by two daughters, Christine Gordineer and Emily Lasch and two granddaughters, Sophie Gordineer and Emma Lasch-DeMers. He is also survived by a sister, Regina; a brother, Edward; a nephew, Edward; and three nieces, Alison, Michelle and Jessica, as well as their children.

Although Bill is: Gone but not forgotten, and although we are apart, His spirit lives within us. Bill was our hero, He will be greatly missed.

Calling hours will be held from 11 to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Graveside services and burial will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday at St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery, Rt. 22 & Turk Hill Road, Brewster, NY.
