DAR Honors Veterans with Ribbons of Respect

The Enoch Crosby Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, will honor Veterans with its Ribbons of Respect program during wreath laying ceremonies throughout Putnam, Westchester and Dutchess Counties.  This outreach speaks directly to the DAR mission of Patriotic endeavor and will provide a visual representation of love and support of Veterans at local Memorial Day Ceremonies.
The Chapter is now offering Ribbons of Respect to the community for $5 per ribbon.  Each ribbon will be placed on a Patriotic wreath and will bear the name of a Veteran honored by their sponsor: white ribbons indicate a memorial of those fallen while red ribbons honor those who are still with us who served in the armed forces.  These beautiful wreaths, placed at area ceremonies, will serve as a tribute to our Veterans and a symbol of our support.  The funds collected through Ribbons of Respect go solely to the purchase of the wreaths placed at community ceremonies.  You may join us in honoring your loved ones who served by visiting www.ribbonsofrespect.org.  Here you’ll find more information about the program and how to help.
The NSDAR is open to all women, ages 18 and older, who have a direct line to a Patriot who served in the American Revolution.  Genealogists are available to help those seeking membership with their applications.
