Troopers Arrest New York City Woman for Prostitution and Bribery

PRESS RELEASE

On April 22, 2017, State Police in Middletown arrested Yolanda Valentine, age 34, of New York, NY during an anti-prostitution detail in the Town of Wallkill.  Valentine agreed to perform a sexual act with an undercover trooper in exchange for $160.00.  When Valentine was placed under arrest, she offered to pay the arresting officers $2200.00 in cash in exchange for releasing her without charges.  During arrest processing, it was discovered that Valentine was also wanted by the Nassau County Probation department on a warrant.  Valentine was charged with one count each of bribery in the third degree and prostitution.  She was arraigned before Town of Wallkill Justice Peter W. Green and committed to Orange County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000.00 secured bond pending a future court appearance.
