Cortlandt man charged with possessing stolen vehicle

PRESS RELEASE
Cortlandt, New York – On April 21, 2017, New York State Police at the Cortlandt Barracks charged Daniel Acevedo, age 40, of the Town of Cortlandt, NY, with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony.

On March 15, 2017, a stolen vehicle was located at Hudson Valley Hospital which was determined to have been stolen from a car dealership in Ulster County, NY. With the assistance of the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from  Kingston, numerous interviews were conducted which lead to the suspect being identified and subsequently arrested.

Acevedo was arraigned by Honorable Daniel McCarty at Town of Cortlandt Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. His next court appearance was scheduled for April 27, 2017 at 9:00 am.
