DCC Student Earns First-Place in Business Plan Competition

April 20, 2017 – Dutchess Community College student Allison Ret of Hopewell Junction took first in the “product” category of the 2017 Mid-Hudson Regional Business Plan Competition held earlier this month at Marist College.

Individuals and teams from participating regional colleges developed a business plan and pitched their ideas to a panel of almost 20 judges made up of private investors, business consultants and community leaders. Ret’s winning product was a modified colostomy device.

Ret, who is majoring in business, will compete in the state finals on April 28.
