City of Plattsburgh Man Arrested for Possession of Cocaine and Marihuana

PRESS RELEASE

04/20/2017 – The New York State Police – Montgomery BCI announce the arrest of 25 year old, Anthony J. Ducharme, of Plattsburgh, NY, for 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (a class B felony), Criminal Possession of a Marihuana in the Second Degree (a class D felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree (both class A misdemeanors).

Ducharme was arrested following a vehicle and traffic stop conducted in the Town of Newburgh on April 19th, 2017, in which he was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle. A roadside investigation led to the discovery of a large quantity of cocaine and marijuana within the vehicle. Ducharme also possessed a small quantity of concentrated cannabis and packaging material/equipment with the intent to use it unlawfully for the packaging of a narcotic drug.

Ducharme was arraigned before Judge Clarino in the Town of Newburgh Court and subsequently remanded to Orange County Jail on $20,000 cash /$20,000 bond. Ducharme is scheduled to re-appear in the Town of Newburgh Court on April 24th at 6pm.
