David Wylock Chair of the Town of Dover Planning Board is this year’s recipient of the Levine Community Service Award

This year’s recipient of the Levine Community Service Award is David Wylock Chair of the Town of Dover Planning Board.  Each year, the New York Planning Federation (NYPF) recognizes outstanding achievement in planning and zoning at its annual conference.  The Levine Award is named in honor of Edward Levine, a lifelong resident of Saratoga Springs who had a profound record of community service and was former President of the New York Planning Federation.  The award is given to a volunteer member of a municipal board or committee who has done an outstanding job for his or her community.

Mr. Wylock is known for going the extra mile for his community; it is not uncommon to find David visiting a project site to make sure conditions are being met; or visiting a potential project site to check out site conditions prior to application review.  As a former Police Officer, David brings a strong sense of fairness, order, procedure to his job as Planning Board chair. He leads the Planning Board effortlessly through project review while drawing on the strengths of each of his team members to ensure a cohesive and fair process.

The NYPF congratulates Mr. Wylock for his outstanding contributions to the community of Dover, and is pleased to present the Levine Award for Community Service to David.  The Award was presented at the NYPF Annual Conference awards luncheon on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Saratoga Hilton Hotel in Saratoga Springs, NY.
