This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the western and central Mohawk Valley, Schoharie Valley, eastern Catskills, Taconics, Capital District, northwestern Connecticut and western Massachusetts. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight. Please listen to NOAA Weather Radio or go to weather.gov on the Internet for more information about the following hazards. Winter Weather Advisory. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. A storm system is expected Monday night through Tuesday night with possible snow fall and locally heavy rain. The combination of locally heavy rain and snow melt could result in some flooding. There is increasing confidence of another strong storm system that will affect the eastern U.S. the end of next week with the potential for more locally heavy rain and snow melt. Depending on how the snow from the blizzard last month melts and where the heaviest rain falls, the potential for widespread flooding needs to be watched closely. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotters are encouraged to send any reports of snowfall, sleet, rainfall or ice accretion to the National Weather Service office in Albany, NY. $$

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow...sleet...or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties.
