**UPDATED** Clerks Fights Off Suspect in Attempted Gas Station Robbery

PRESS RELEASE

The New York State Troopers of SP Cortlandt are investigating the attempted armed robbery of the Mobil Gas Station located at 2225 Crompond Road (ST 202), Cortlandt Manor.  On February 4, 2017 shortly before 1:00 AM, the suspect entered the Mobil store and displayed a weapon to the clerk.  The clerk resisted, and following a struggle, the suspect fled on foot, westbound on ST 202.  The suspect is described as a Hispanic male of light olive complexion, overweight, with no facial hair and a Spanish accent.  He was wearing a blue winter coat with a hood, dark green pants, a light brown shirt, light colored footwear, a dark covering on the lower portion of his face, dark gloves and a black hat.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Inv.
