Thomas Patrick Prendergast, Sr, 62, longtime Sherman, CT resident passed away February 26, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents Patrick and Sally.
Tom was born on April 20, 1954 in Hartford, CT. He graduated from Our Lady of Sorrows elementary school, South Catholic High School and then received a BA in Accounting from Western Connecticut State College. He married Lucille in 1977 and together they raised 4 children, for more than 30 years in Sherman. Tom was an avid handyman and enjoyed spending time with his family, ensuring everyone always had a cold soda.
He is survived by his wife Lucille, son Tom, his wife Sheri and their children TJ and Riley; daughter Theresa Cash, her husband Chris, and their children Shannon, Aiden and Brianna; daughter Sarah Manley and her husband Greg; and daughter Kristyn and her boyfriend John Scott, as well as his brother and sister-in-law John and Lynn Prendergast and sister and brother-in-law Anne and Kevin Fitzpatrick, along with a large extended family. He will be greatly missed.
A viewing will be held from 5:00PM – 8:00PM, Friday, March 3, 2017, at 57 Main St, Danbury, CT with a memorial service at 10:00AM, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at St. Edwards in New Fairfield, CT.
