Connecticut man charged with drug possession at Greenhaven

Beekman, New York – On February 27, 2017, New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested 47-year-old Jesse L. Friedman of Bridgeport, Connecticut, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

At approximately 12:47 p.m., Troopers responded to Greenhaven Correctional Facility to assist the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision with the arrest of Friedman for drug possession.  A DOCCS K9 searched the vehicle Friedman was operating on prison property and it was discovered that Friedman possessed two electronic cigarettes containing concentrated cannabis.

Friedman was arraigned in the Town of Beekman Court before the Hon. Judge Garito and was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or bond.  The defendant is scheduled to return to the Town of Beekman Court on March 9, 2017.
