SENATOR MURPHY COMMENTS ON
BOMB THREATS AT JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTERS IN WESTCHESTER
Cortlandt, NY – State Senator Terrence Murphy release the following statement:
“The anonymous bomb threats made to Jewish Community Centers in New Rochelle and Tarrytown were despicable and cowardly acts.”

“Whether they were done because of the current political climate or were part of a personal grudge, these appalling acts are completely unacceptable. They go against the values of what we stand for as a compassionate, inclusive society that embraces religious tolerance. I condemn these acts of anti-semitism as well as any acts fueled by prejudice and hatred. I hope the perpetrators are caught and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.”

Maloney Statement on Terroristic Threats Against Jewish Communities in Westchester

Newburgh, NY — Representative Sean Patrick Maloney released the following statement in response to reports that Jewish Community Centers in Tarrytown and Scarsdale had received terroristic threats.

“Acts of terrorism against communities of any faith in the Hudson Valley will not be tolerated. Period. I condemn these disgusting acts and the people who committed them.

“America’s strength is in our diversity – and we cannot allow a climate of hate to force any community to live in fear. I have joined a huge, bipartisan group of lawmakers in a letter demanding that the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation find those responsible and bring them to justice. We cannot allow terrorism against the Jewish community to become the norm.”
