A Christmas Carol – A 1940s Radio Drama Recreation

carol

Pawling Public Radio will be presenting the classic radio version of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” at 7PM.

Pawling Public Radio has engaged the talents of professional actor, writer, director and WPWL host Joe Bev who will direct and play Ebenezer Scrooge. In the style of the Golden Age of Radio, Joe Bev along with his professional acting troop as well as students and local actors will bring the story to life.

This will be a delightful holiday event for the entire family. A really fun aspect of this type of performance is that the audience gets to see how live sound effects are created; chains rattling, doors slamming, etc. The audience will also get to see how the actors play different characters by changing their voice and demeanor.

Tickets are available at The Annex Florist and online at achristmascarolppr2016.eventbrite.com.

Student/Seniors: $7.00

Adults: $10.00

The event is a fund raiser for Pawling Public Radio.
