The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an armed robbery of the Subway sandwich shop in the Patterson Commons shopping center located at 3101 Route 22 at the intersection of Route 311 in the Town of Patterson. The incident occurred on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at approximately 6:30 p.m. At that time, members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department and the New York State Police responded to a 911 report that the establishment had just been robbed. The suspect was described as a white male between 50 and 60 years of age, approximately 5’9” and 200 pounds who had displayed a knife to employees and demanded money. The suspect fled in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash. The investigation is ongoing.
