Pawling Resource Center Celebrates 40 Years with “The Big Thank You”

 September 17th, 3-6p.m. at Lakeside Park!

Following the annual Walk So They May Ride walkathon on September 17th at 9 a.m., the Pawling Resource Center will commemorate 40 years of service to the Pawling community with a public celebration at Lakeside park beginning at 3 p.m.

All members of the greater Pawling community are invited, where volunteers, donors, sponsors and Resource Center clients will be honored.  Pawling resident Sheriff Butch Andersen will serve as the MC for the festivities.  Guests will include town and village leaders as well as the leadership of local organizations.

A Bar-B-Q will be served to all attending, generously donated by Jeremy Busolt and Friends, Mcgraths Tavern, and  JTI Truck and Auto Repair, along with music and entertainment contributed by Pawling Public Radio, Jamie Cairney and Kayle Truman. Children will be entertained with a petting zoo kindly offered by Pied Piper Petting Zoo and Pony Farm.  Miniature golf, donated by the Pawling Free Library will also be available for family fun.

This event has been generously underwritten by members of the Resource Center Board, Danosky & Associates, Wings Over Water Swim School, Dutchess  Auto Body, Fairway Accounting, Mizzentop Day School, Village Medical (New York Langone),The Pawling Rotary Club, and The Office of the Sheriff of Dutchess County.

The Pawling Resource Center is located at 126 East Main Street in Pawling, and serves those in need by offering food bank services, rides to medical appointments and shopping to Pawling’s seniors, and loaning medical equipment through a special program, as well as myriad other services that benefit the community’s disadvantaged.
