Wingdale woman arrested for third-degree assault, third-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit third-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny and breach of peace and third-degree strangulation

Danbury, CT — A New York couple is facing a number of charges after a mall security guard attempted to stop them from stealing items from Macy’s in Danbury and they then attacked him.

The Danbury CT Police reported to Macy’s for on a report of a fight last Saturday night.  Upon arrival at Macy’s the store manager told them that his  store security employee was trying to apprehend two suspects who were observed shoplifting.

The suspects were later identified as Douglas Rollman, 26, of Mahopac NY and Gina Pecchia, 21, of Wingdale, NY  the couple were located in the parking garage in their vehicle and  then placed under arrest.

Police said when the store security officer had initally confronted the couple about the theft and an altercation ensued and Pecchia began to strangle the officer.

Police said Douglas had kicked the officer in the abdomen and ran away.

Rollman and Pecchia were charged with third-degree assault, third-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit third-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny and breach of peace. Pecchia was also charged with third-degree strangulation.

Police said Pecchia was released on $25,000 bond and Rollman is being held on $25,000 bond.
