New Lebanon, New York – On May 9, 2016, New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested 43-year-old Michael A. Lasher of East Greenbush, New York, with Burglary in the 3rdDegree, a Class D Felony.

In November of 2015, Troopers were dispatched to a residence located on State Route 20 for a reported burglary.  The victim reported that over $2,000 worth of power tools were stolen from the residence which was under renovation.   Subsequent investigation revealed that Lasher, who was employed by a paving contractor completing a job at the residence, had unlawfully entered the New Lebanon home and stole the power tools.

Lasher was arraigned before the Town of New Lebanon Justice Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.  Lasher is due to return to the Town of New Lebanon Court at a later date.
