Congressional Progressive Caucus Endorses

Zephyr Teachout For Congress

Dover Plains – Today, Zephyr Teachout earned the endorsement of the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC). The 72 United States Representatives in the CPC comprise the largest single caucus within the House Democratic Caucus.

CPC Co-Chair, Rep. Keith Ellison (MN-5) said: “Already a national leader against corruption in government, Zephyr Teachout will be an outstanding member of Congress. Whether it’s fighting for small businesses, increasing access to broadband, or working to improve public education, Zephyr is always on the side of working families.  We need leaders like Zephyr who we can trust to put the people first.”

CPC Whip, Rep. Barbara Lee (CA-13) said: “The Congressional Progressive Caucus is proud to endorse Zephyr Teachout for Congress. Zephyr is an independent voice for people who have been shut out of the political process. A proven fighter with a track record of standing up against powerful interests, Zephyr is committed to a more equal society and opportunity for all.”

Zephyr Teachout added: “I’m running for Congress to raise up the voice of people who have been shut out of our corrupt political system, and put the people’s business before the powerful interests. Together we can ensure a fair and equal democracy where the needs of small businesses, parents, teachers, and farmers come first. That’s why I’m thrilled to have the support of the CPC, and look forward to working together toward our shared goals.”
