Two Dover men charged with Burglary following suspicious person investigation

Dover, New York – On March 21, 2016, the New York State Police from Dover Plains arrested Stephen C. Franco II, 25 years old, of Dover, New York, and 29-year-old Nicholas Gast, of Dover, New York, for Burglary in the 2nd Degree, a Class C Felony.

On March 21, 2016 at approximately 1:15 p.m., Troopers were dispatched by Dutchess County 911 for two suspicious white males carrying bags while leaving a residence located on Gobblers Knob Road.  Subsequent investigation revealed that Gast and Franco were responsible for burglarizing the Gobblers Knob home.

The defendants were arraigned in the Town of Dover Justice Court before T/J Abrams.
Gast was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.  Franco was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.  Both defendants are scheduled to reappear in Dover Court on March 25, 2016 at 3:00 p.m.

Both Gast and Franco may face additional charges as a result of this investigation.
