Obituary, Raffaela “Fannie” T. Anderson

 

Raffaela “Fannie” T. Anderson 94 of Millbrook passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 21, 2016.

Fannie was born and grew up in Millbrook where she met and married the love of her live Evar “Andy” W. Anderson on October 2, 1949 at St. Joseph’s Church. Andy passed away November of 2004. Many may remember Fannie from the Coffee Spot, or as cook at Dutchess county infirmary or her favorite job as a cook at Saint Josephs Church where she retired in 2014.

Fannie is survived by her beloved son Leonard and his wife Lila of Millbrook. Her adored grandchildren Melissa Whitford and her husband Donald of Goshen, CT, Michael Anderson and his girlfriend Jennifer Hall of Pleasant Valley and her five very loved great grandchildren Jeffery Rodriquez, Dealia Anderson, Hunter, Nevin, Logan Whitford. She is also survived by her favorite dog Bella. Fannie is also survived by her brothers Vincent Massarelli of Sharon, CT, Paul Massarelli of Vermont, and her sisters Anna DiStefano of Poughkeepsie, Nancy Sessa of Pleasant Valley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Fannie was predeceased by her brothers John and Thomas and her sister Josephine Massarelli.

In honoring Fannie’s wishes there will be no viewing only a Mass of Christian burial at Saint Josephs Church in Millbrook, NY at 11 am. Interment will be held at the family’s convenience.

In lieu of flowers the family asks to make a donation in Fannie’s name to either Saint Josephs Church 15 North Avenue Millbrook, NY or Hudson Valley Hospice Foundation, 374 Violet Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY.
