Critically Acclaimed Author to Give Presentation at DCC

 

February 22, 2016 – Author Bonnie Jo Campbell will come to Dutchess Community College March 3 for a Lyceum presentation called “Mothers, Tell Your Daughters,” based on her recent short story collection of the same name that features tales about women, poverty, abuse and survival.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 12:30 p.m. in the James and Betty Hall Theatre on DCC’s Poughkeepsie campus.

“Mothers, Tell Your Daughters” was praised by publications including the New York Times, Boston Globe and Chicago Tribune. Campbell’s other works include “American Salvage” and “Once Upon a River.”

The event is part of DCC’s Women’s History Month celebration and is co-sponsored by the College’s Student Government Association. For more information, call Tina Iraca at (845) 431-8454.
