Pawling man arrested for assaulting State Trooper

PRESS RELEASE

Pawling, New York – On December 10, 2015, New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Edward C. See, Jr., 65 years old, of Pawling, New York, for Assault in the 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony, Driving While Intoxicated, an unclassified Misdemeanor, and Resisting arrest, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Troopers stopped See in the area of Summit Avenue and Willets Drive after he failed to utilize a directional signal.  Following an interview conducted by the arresting officer, See was found to be intoxicated.  While attempting to place the defendant into custody, he actively resisted arrest causing injury to the Trooper.

See was transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital where he was treated and released. He was arraigned before the Town of Pawling Court and released on his own recognizance.  See is due to appear in the Village of Pawling Court on January 14, 2016.
