POUGHKEEPSIE, NY:  Arts Mid-Hudson is bringing Shakespeare to Poughkeepsie on Saturday, September 12 for I, Too, Sing Shakespeare. This two-month exhibit and experiential event runs throughOctober 30.

 I, Too, Sing Shakespeare will include ceramic sculptures inspired by the work of William Shakespeare from Judy Sigunick in the Arts Mid-Hudson gallery along with different activities and experiences every weekend.
Guests can enjoy a dance and readings inspired by Shakespeare from Andreas and Marguerite San Millan from Cocoon Theatre, as well as the Dutchess County’s first rendition of Shakespeare in the Parking Lot by Theatre on the Road. They will perform classic scenes and timely themes introduced by Shakespeare himself, including:Romeo & Juliet, The Taming of the Shrew, Macbeth, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. For all performers interested in on-camera training, join Roger Hendricks Simon for a new Shakespeare on camera training and showcase lab for local area adult and teen actors, directors and interested auditors.
Along with the inspired performances, Arts Mid-Hudson is collaborating with Lou Trapani from The CENTER for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck in leading a Shakespearean Lecture and discussion as well as partnering with Dutchess Community College Ceramics and English Departments for readings of Shakespeare’s favorite banquet scenes around the feast table.
