DUTCHESS COUNTY DRUG TASK FORCE ARRESTS 7 IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE OF NARCOTICS IN THE HARLEM VALLEY

The Dutchess County Drug Task Force has arrested 7 people after a 4 month investigation in connection with the sale of narcotics in the Harlem Valley.

The County Drug Task Force announced Monday evening that it had recovered 1.5 ounces of heroin, one half-ounce of cocaine, 150 oxycodone pills and $4,000 cash with the arrests taking place last friday.

Val Mackins, 29, of Dover Plains, and Ashley Zagarella, 29, of Dover Plains have been charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, each a felony.

Mackins was on parole and was sent to Dutchess County Jail without bail. Zagarella was released on electronic monitoring.

Also charged Thomas Pray, 40, of Amenia with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony. He was remanded to Dutchess County Jail on $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond.

Anthony Hoffman, 29, of Dover Plains, and Mary Ashby, 35, both of Dover Plains, have been charged with  third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. Both were remanded to Dutchess County Jail on $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond.
